Will Earth's population level off and how exactly would that happen?

We have already long pasted the level of humans the earth can support. Humans are 10,000 times more common then they should be. I rest all my hopes with Bioengineering. That guy who said it would "level off" on my question was incorrect. Either depletion of resources, natural disaster, or man will lower the population.
